As a local Realtor who takes pride in knowing the heart of Rancho Cucamonga, I’m thrilled to share my top picks for the best Mexican restaurants this September. Rancho Cucamonga’s culinary scene is a vibrant tapestry of flavors, and when it comes to Mexican cuisine, there’s an array of delightful options to explore. Join me on a culinary journey through the city’s most enticing eateries that promise to satisfy your cravings for authentic Mexican fare.
1. Juanita’s III Mexican Restaurant
Address: 9651 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739
Juanita’s III is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and traditional dishes that capture the essence of Mexican comfort food. Don’t miss their delicious burritos and handcrafted salsas.
2. El Cerrito Mexican Restaurant Grill And Cantina
7201 Archibald Ave., Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730
Easily ranking as one of the finest and most authentic sit-down Mexican restaurants in this locale, it’s a noteworthy spot. With two locations within the same city, our family tends to gravitate towards the one on Archibald for reasons we can’t quite pinpoint. Over time, we’ve developed a rapport with some of the servers, consistently impressed by their top-notch customer service. An absolute necessity is their guacamole, prepared right at the table and perfectly complementing the warm complimentary chips that grace every table.
When it comes to their offerings, their carne asada is a standout, renowned for its quality. Yet, don’t overlook their stews – they’re nothing short of excellent. We’ve found their menudo to be particularly enjoyable. And speaking of recommendations, don’t miss out on the quesabirria tacos. Although we’re yet to experience their Sunday brunch, we’re already envisioning a magnificent spread that’s sure to delight.
So, the next time you’re struck by a craving for tacos, consider giving them a try. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss out on!
3. El Perico Ranchero
Address: 9770 19th Street, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701
El Pericos has become an absolute favorite when it comes to Mexican cuisine.
The most wonderful discovery is the quality of the food…. Consistently fresh, delectable, and served piping hot, the culinary experience is exceptional. This establishment is notably smaller than its Upland counterpart, potentially resulting in longer wait times during peak hours, yet the wait would unquestionably be worthwhile.
Among the highlights, you may want to relish the table-side guacamole, a delightful interactive aspect of your dining experience. Additionally, their margaritas, particularly the Cadillac variation, may carve out a special place in your heart.
4. Tio’s Mexican Food
Address: 10451 Lemon Ave., Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91737
From the moment you stepp through the door to the time of your departure, the staff’s friendliness is remarkable. They guide you with such helpfulness. The carne asada burrito, a member of my party was presented with a generously filled creation bursting with flavorful meat, cheese, guacamole, and Pico de Gallo. To manage its size, maybe skip the beans, yet it remained impressively substantial.
Another member in my party chose the special fries with carne asada which left nothing to be desired. The portion was substantial, featuring beans, cheese, and ample carne asada. Each fry was adorned with meat and cheese, showcasing their commitment to quality.
With its extensive menu, personable staff, and delectable cuisine, this establishment is undoubtedly worth a visit.
5. Casa Rubio’s Mexican Grill Restaurant
Address: 8812 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701 (Stater Bros. Parking Lot)
Truly excellent food with friendly service. Yummy salsa! Reasonable prices….I hear that the chicken hard shell tacos are absolutely delicious.
